What engines
What engine should I get to replace mine. Kinda on a budget, mb some type of rebuilt engine for around 2,500.
Mb just find another LS1 and just drop it in? Im not sure about what would be good to just drop in.

Black 2002 T/A M6- Green 1997 Ram 4x4
Easiest drop in is always the same engine the car already had. Finding a running (or junkyard that doesn't need much) ls1 will be the easiest swap, and probably the most cost effective, realistically. LS1's aren't too expensive in the crate engine world anymore anyway.
As far as other options, only one that comes to mind is from talking to a guy at a shop a few days ago about a third-gen he just did. Customer wanted an LS1 swap done, but ended up getting a ZZ4 swap instead. Came out to be over a grand cheaper, and put down the same numbers as an LS1. I'll admit though I don't know squat about the engine and how well it would work in a 4th gen...but that's what google is for.

Just find someone with a LS1 low miles or rebuilt or a LS6 out of a Vette. Alot of people I know use the LQ9 or whatever 6.0 iron truck blocks. Cheaper to get around here. Some shops have them rebuilt and ready to drop in.
