Simple Math FAIL!
Few weeks back a parking light bulb of my Yota burns out
I head out to CarQuest to get a replacement.
One 7443 bulb cost me $6.78 (F'ing ripoff)
I ended up not opening the package and decided to go with a LED light bulb route. I ended up changing all of the Bulbs to LED. Looks Great!
In a process of changing my 3rd brake light, I blew a 10A fuse. I take a fuse out for my horn which is another 10A and that blows too. There was an extra 15A fuse and that blows too. Finally figured out that I had a faulty LED bulb. Fixed that and problem solved. So now I have 3 fuses that I needed to replace.
To go back to CarQuest and they sell the fuses by 5. I buy a box of 5 of 10A fuses and a box of 5 of 15A fuses. Total comes to $10.68 (Another F'ing ripoff)
I still had my receipt for the bulb I bought few weeks back to submit it for a refund.
So fuses $10.68 minus $6.78 for bulb refund equals $3.90 remaining balance.
The guy behind the counter gives me $4 and sends me on my way.
So instead of me paying him, he payed me.
Cliff-notes:
I bring a bulb in for refund $6.78 to buy fuses for $10.68. I was supposed to pay $3.90 remaining. Instead the guy gives me $3.90

I always get way too much change *knock on wood, hope it continues* not my problem if someone hires inept or non-caring employees

sounds like you should have bought more bulbs.

this kinda shit always comes back to you.....I would've given it back. $4 isn't worth the risk of what you may get in return.

Except this follows a faulty assumption that there is some evidence that what goes around comes around(not taking in consideration actual, physical, man implemented vengeance)... factually untrue, but still wholly persuasive to many

I would have probably told him his mistake

Lady at the beer store gave me a dollar back when she was supposed to keep it. I didn't realize it until I was leaving the parking lot, I turned around and gave it back to her
Its my local beer store I visit frequently and I like the ole lady.

Holy crap, sounds like you need to stay away from Carquest. I work at a parts store and two 7443's costs like 4.32 with tax.

His Carquest has to charge more to make up for the losses incurred by employees frequently giving out too much change.

trust me Carquest is the last place I would go to.
Unfortunately, they are less than a mile away. the next nearest one is over 5 miles away, but have to drive through town to get there which takes 15-20 min each way. That is where I usually go. On top of that, its not a chain store, but a mom and pop store which I support.

ordered some mcd's the other week, came out to 3.78... so i hand her exact monies, she hands me 4 dollars back..... i was like dam, didnt see that coming, then i got to thinking about it, and was like i woulda had to give her 7.78 which would have been retarded, because over the amount i pry woulda just skipped the change part and none of them were 5s which is why there were 3 bills...

Ha ha. I was at mcd's and my order came to 6.09 gave 6.10 bitch just told me to have a nice day and did't give me my penny. I said excuse me don't you owe me some change, I got a shitty look and my penny from the bitch. She probably told them to spit on my burger over her mic as I pulled up to the next window. Its just the principal of the matter, I really don't need the penny but its still your job to give it to me my change regardless of how little it is.

I had a stupid experience at Hardee's not too long ago. I ordered some breakfast value meal and it came out to something like $5.37. I gave her exact change. She started counting it, double checked it, then opened up the window and said I'm short a dime. I'm like "wtf? ok whatever, here u go" She then proceeds to count the money again. Opens up the window again and hands me back 2 nickels. I just shook my head. And that's why u work at Hardees........
