i like how the owner said the dealership said it wasnt under the recall and gave it back to him. Owner said he wont drive that car ever again.
i like how the cop had to tell the guy to pull ebrake and hit the off button lol....what about drive to neutral?
sad part is owner mentions full braking did nothing but melt down but parking brake cut speed by 50%

I read in another similar thread here that the brakes are electronic on this car and that they wouldn't stop the car. The E-brake is still mechanical, so that's why it still worked. Originally Posted by Toyota h8r

There was also a woman that testified at the hearings that stated that she tried to turn the car off. She also tried to take it out of gear. The car was having none of it though and kept on going.

If it's what I think it is that's causing all of this then we can blame the EU and it's RoHS requirements BS for all of this...
My guess: Tin whisker growth on circuit boards is causing stuff to short out.
