Loud Exhaust...
I was wondering if there are any cheap mods that can make an exhaust extremely loud with out hitting the pocket really hard.
At the moment I have have my stock exhaust with one cutout right before the muffler.
I have seen a many of ls1 f-bodies in my hometown, and almost all of them have a louder exhaust than mine, I do know some that have the loudmouth, or the offroad pipes, but common I know not everyone could afford the prices for these setups.
What are my options?

whats youre idea of getting hit hard for exhaust?
cheapest way would be to swap out the muffler for a magnaflow or hooker muffler.2000 nhra edition formula

If you want totally loud go with Loudmouth the setups are not that expensive. Under $400 bucks, but I don't know if that is hitting the poscket hard.

Check on ebay for the loudmouth system. I bought mine off of there for $144 shipped. It was used but came with all of the hard ware and I had no problems at all. The only thing that it did not come with were the tips but for the price that I got I really didn't care.

i would get 2 dynomax bullet mufflers (54.99 each at thunderracing) and go with a true dual set up and dump it before the rear axle. thats what i did. the guy charged me about 100 bucks for the install and i went with 2 1/2 inch pipe. it sounds awesome.

Is a loudmouth any louder than a cutout?
When I had stock exhaust and a cutout in the i-pipe my car was pretty damn loud. I would think the only way your gonna get louder now is to remove the cats.02 TA A4

Loudmouth is louder than a cutout for the simple reason that it's piped out from under the car rather than dumped

LT heards are the best way to go with the true dual x-pipe( like the other guy said and dump it right before the rear end) you can find the x on ebay. if you want loud that is the way to go. i live in an apt. and everytime i start up my car ppl look out their windows everytime ( it never fails). you also pick up more than just sound i got 37 RWHP out of the header x setup. your manifolds hold your motor back alot
