Question Big decision: H&K P30 .40 or Kimber Pro Carry II?

I know they are completely different guns, but they are priced about the same ($825) and I REALLY love both of them. I am really on the fence on this one. Thoughts?

You'll have a capacity advantage with the P30 and if you're using a high quality modern JHP, ballistics are excellent. The ergo's of the p30 are great. Todd Green is a well known instructor and has a blog about his p30 9mm on Pistol-Training.com. I don't own a Kimber and have only shot range rentals, some folks love them, some folks hate them. If I were going to look at a commander sized 1911, I'd look at a Dan Wesson CBOB, Springfield Champion, or Colt Commander before Kimber in that price-range.

Kimber, but just because I prefer their company - overall - to Heckler & Koch.

    For caliber, I'd prefer a .45 ACP over a .40 S&W (slightly) and both over a 9mm.

Man, I went to the gun shop with $900 in my pocket this afternoon, and they were both GONE! Sold this morning. So, I'm going to drive an hour north of here to a gun shop that is supposed to have a crapload of Kimbers. We'll see....
