my oil pressure gauge..
Is going crazy its reading 20 then i come back later i turn it on then it reads 40 and once again back to 20 then i turn it off and sometimes it stays at 20 i know i have a small leak but could that really be the problem i dont know whats going on any opinions??

low oil pressure is very bad but if the car drives fine than it might be your oil pressure sensor( the plug in near your oil filter).Mine would always read very wierd, but once I replaced mine I was getting the 60-90 PSI ratings

Pewter- 2000 Pontiac Trans Am
it is probably the oil pressure sending unit. every now and then, typically under light load at lower rpms 1000-1300 mine will start to dance. it will go from 20-60-20-60-20-60-20-60. at any other rpm its just fine.
