    Need help with laptop

A few days ago I was not able to use the internet with my laptop. So I was using the iPhone. MY laptop has 160Gig HD and I had like 21 gig left, so I decided to reformat the PC. Well now after I have I can use the internet on it but I still have only 21 gig left I have noticed that there is a folder named "Windows.old" and it has all the files from when I was using it before the format. My question is can I delete this folder and not have any issues?

    yes, you can delete windows.old

does not sound like you really did a format.. sounds like you just installed windows over itself... not a very good idea IMO.

Delete it. Its best to just go back, delete your partitions and recreate them. Format, reinstall and done. Nice, clean, fresh install.

Yep, that's what I would do and charged you $50 to do so.

Like others have said. Your best bet is to wipe the HD and do a clean install of Windows.

Pay me $50 that's how you do it or look up www.maximumpc.com

You can learn allot from that site, you can build a damn computer if you hang there long enough.

If you put your restore disk in you should get the option to format and then reinstall.

Your laptop may have a restore partition on the HD or separate disk that will give you the option to repair issues or reinstall Windows to where it was when the system was new.
