Navy Blue Metallic- 2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
I think I'm ready for an Upgrade
Well its been a while since I've had the money for Mods (got married) but I think I've got the wife on board, or off my back. I have full bolt ons eccept of a stall, in a 2002 A4. I dyno'd at 334rwhp with 348torque. I would like some opinions on which head and cam combo would be good. This is what I would like out of the car. I drive it everyday durring spring and summer so it needs to be streetable. I would like to keep power even through my powerband. Any opinions would be helpfull, thanks!

If your looking for something streetable you might be interested in looking at head/cam combo kits. Probaly not worth your while to go get everything custom if your not looking to squeeze every pony out of her.

I'd look into (depending on your budget) the TrickFlow 515hp package, or alittle cheaper you could go with PRC 2.5 5.3 heads and somewhere around a 228 cam...
but if you do anything, decide on your setup and put the recomended size stall in 1st......plus you will NEED a tranny cooler (bigger is better) and should upgrade your tranny with a beast sunshell (at the least).
trust me, did a high stall, heads and cam on mine first.....then I grenaded the tranny lol

Yeah I wasn't sure if I should get a stall first or not. I was thinking aftger I got my H/C swap done then seeing what numbers I produced to determine what stall.

how streetable would a 4000 stall be?

you lose some mpg, and it would take more pedal to get moving from a stop, but very driveable.
for instance I'm running a 3,800 stall in my car now, idle at 850 rpms and when I lightly roll on the throttle the car starts moving forward around 950-1,000 rpms...pretty close to stock
but if I mash the pedal to the floor, the motor rev to right at 4,000 rpms, the stall grab and it throws you back in the seat

So then after I do the H/C and stall I should look into a new rear end...great

put a good set of drag radials on the car and lauch a few times with stock power......if youu hook good that could be enough to grenade it now lol.
one my friends put it right when he said "building a car can quickly become a slippery slope"
you honestly might want to look for a 9" rear, lower control arms and adjustable panhard bar before you build the motor.....get it to hook good and hold together, that way you don't have a really fast car sitting in the driveway broken down waiting on parts

Yeah, I already had to replace my stock rear end and bought a already built up 10 bolt for cheap. My wife is going to love all these new plans I have. I'll just break them to her one at a time.
