    Stabil

Due to the fact that I dont drive my car much I have just been adding stabil to the tank every time i fill up. It takes me about a month to get through a tank of gas b/c I really only drive it on weekends. Sometimes it sits for weeks. So basically its always running on gas with stabil in it. I dont think it would be a problem but it just dawned on me the other day to get your guys opinions.

I would relax on the stabil, Personaly My 01 SS sits in the garage for weeks at a time, i havent filled it up in about 6 months, I would just run an injector cleaner every other month to disapate any moisture that has built up.

The only time I use Stabil is when I put the car away for the Winter.

would 3 telling you to ease up on the stabil be enough? if so, ease up on the stabil. i dont use it even when put away for the winter in the car or bike, just put them away full to prevent condensation in the tank.

yea i guess 3 will suffice. I just saw on their site that they say you can use it everytime you fill up. And I figured with me not driving the car for sometimes weeks on end it would be a good idea to keep the fuel from going bad. Also due to the fact that ethanol hold water in the system etc. Well I guess I will not put it in everytime, but i think i will keep looking for opinions......

It's not going to hurt the fuel system but you will build up a little bit of fuel additive deposit on the ground prob of your plugs, nothing you can see with a naked eye but keep it in mind around the third year mark to change the plugs. I have a 2008 Mercury 150 EFI on my boat and I noticed this after a year of use but the 89Oct that I put in it last December last just fine until I checked it in April of this year. Your not exposed to the high moist conditions my boat is but I use the stabile when it sits for over a month and Star Tron enzyme made by star bright for ethinol and water gunk every 2 months. Works great to break down the ethinol and water so it can be passed in very small amounts and not damage your engine. Thats for my boat so you wouldn't need to use it but maybe once a year. If you can find a marina near you that sells 90 octain non ethinol fuel, that is what you should put in your car before parking it and then all you need is the stabilizer.

I run Stabil and put my car away full before every winter.... thats it. Your not going to do damage running it that much, but its a waste of money. I say that you should lay off a bit
