1995 TRANS AM cranks but won't start
Can anyone help!!! I recently bought a 1995 Trans AM the previous owner told me the optispark was bad so I replaced it. Tried starting with no luck checked wiring and replaced plugs still would not start. Checked fault codes showed 41 and 42 so followed trouble shooting guide for those problems came down to bad ignition coil module. Checked for spark before I replaced it, had spark but intermittent replaced module and coil now still won't start and have no spark and no fault codes troubleshooting guides says bad distributor but it is new. help please!!!

are you checking spark at the coil wire or at on of the plug wires?

I am checking the spark off of a plug wire one other thing I discovered was their is a translator box attached to several of my wires including my ignition control module I have no idea what it is or what it does I just took the lid off and found it labled as translator.

that box must be sliced into the ignition control module, correct? It might be for a remote start or some sort of security system. It could be causing your troubles. I'd start be removing that crap and putting the wiring back to the way the factory did it.
