Difference in Stock Ram Air intake and other aftermarket intake
I am wondering what are the differences between the two intakes? I have seen some that are really cool. I have some questions... Are they worth the investment? How much does it increase the HP? Which one is the best and looks really good under the hood? I saw one on ebay that has a clear lid and another one that has two cone filters. Thanks for the help.

The dual cone setup might improve on a non- RamAir car, but it'll be insignificant on a WS6, especially if you replace the lid and get rid of the baffles and oval cross section of the stock lid. An aftermarket lid and sealing the hood to the raised WS6 airbox is about as good as you'll get.

I would get the airlid, and then cut the plastic part on the bottom of the intake filter. When you look at it, you can see that you could get air from the bottom...where the radiator is, but its being blocked by that plastic. Just cut that off, and you will have Ram Air, just like the WS6's came with. Its easy and cheap. You may or may not see a noticible HP increase, but every little bit helps. I wouldnt go with that cone thing. Way too much $$ for what you are getting.
