?? about torque converters
My car is mostly stock A4 , save for a slp lid and cutout. On my street tires I I ran a best of 8.70@83.90 with a 2.095 60 foot. Then I bought Nitto drags , and now I can even get in the 2.0's 60foot. Mostly in the 2.1-2.2's. Now I usually run 8.85's@82. The funny thing is that I am not even spinning. On the launch it takes off hard but then inmediately bogs or seems like it grabs too much. Then SLOWLY the rpms start climbing. It seems like I NEED to take off at a higher rpm. I was thinking of a Yank 3600, will this be too much for the street? Has anybody had this problem before with their A4?

3600 is fine...just remember...if your running a stock 10 bolt..with DRs...say good bye...also the bogging might be to your suspension..if everything isnt set up right then you dont get good weight and power transfer.

At this moment I have stock suspension. Does removing the front swaybar help? What other suspension mods can I do to help it even more. Is DR's that bad with an Automatic?

Yes removing or unhooking the front sway bar might help, but I don't recommend this on a street driven car.
Parts that will help:
1 If you don’t want to get torque dents on your car get some subframe connectors. Also this makes the car much stiffer so you don’t loose any power to body flex.
2 Relocation brackets
3 New torque arm
4 Set of adjustable shocks1998 Camaro SS Hard Coupe Bright Red #1593

I am using Nittos DR(245/50/16). As of now they hook pretty good. TOO good I would say. What are some good adjustable shocks?? I am thinking of doing rear V6 springs also, and 3.73 gears.

i heard this before how DRs slowed them down bc of bogging and not spining and rpms. there is a thread around here but couldnt find it. not sure if its true but... but a nice TC wont hurt

Yeah it sucks man, I thought I was going to improve my times. I guess I'll have to go back to street tires until I get my converter.

More power-- and or a stall converter--I have BFG DR's and they are great & a 2600 stall for my DD--lower gears would help too---Do you know your rear dif. ratio ?
