low oil pressure
ok i have a 94 trans am and i am getting a very low reading ONLY after the car is warmed up. when i first start her up i get anywhere between 40-45 on the dummy gauge. Idles at 40, until like i said she gets warmed up. After which it idles below 20, actually around 12-14. once i accelerate it jumps up to 30, but that's as high as she gets. when i let off the gas she drops below 20 again, but not in the red line. Is my pump going out? Am i asking for trouble if i continue to drive her like this. any help would be appreciated thanks.

another thing to consider...what grade oil are you using? a few years ago i had a 3.4 camaro. i was using 5W-30 and on hot summer days my oil pressure dropped really low and my check gauges light even came on. i switched to 10W-30 and i havent had that problem since.
