Help, Clutch Pedal Sticking to floor at High RPM's
My clutch pedal sticks to the floor at high RPM's. But when I drive normal it doesn't have any problems. Can someone help me out and let me know what it sounds like the problem is. When I race or full throttle my car the pedal sticks to the floor and is almost impossible to shift into the other gears, but once it sticks to the floor I can pull it up with my foot and pump it up a little and then it will work just fine again. I re-bleed the hydraulic system, and drilled out my hydraulic line, but dont know what else to do. Not this last winter but the winter before, I replaced the master, and slave cylinders, and replaced the clutch. But can someone please help me out. Thanks!

If I already replaced the parts about a year and a half ago, can the parts be bad again? They can go that dang fast. I did everything on that thread except replaced the master and the slave, but like I said I replaced them a little over a year ago. But maybe they need replacement again! Any other suggestions???

i would try bleeding it again. if you just replaced everything, then it must just need to be bled. maybe there is something blocking the line. did you get all of the shavings out when you did the drill mod?

I tried to do the drill mod once it was all removed, but once I got it out and started drilling there was no restriction what so ever, so I am thinking that the previous owner already did the drill mod on the line. But I will try re-bleeding it again.

Thanks but I believe I fixed the problem. It was the master cylinder. But I just now have to re-bleed the system for the 4th time in 3 days.

I have no idea. It must of been just a bad part. My Hydraulic/Brake Fluid was black as hell, and I think it ruined my Master cylinder. I did all the steps up to the Master Cylinder and nothing fixed it. Now I can go high RPM's and shift into the other gears, but I still have a little problem with the 3rd gear, but there might still be a little bit of air in the line still.

Mine was the slave cylinder. And it is common. My problem was exactly like yours at the start and got worse. What makes this difficult is all of these other things can help. Flushing and new fluid improves fluid density and helps compensate for a slave or master cylinder that is bleeding through. Then if both are failing changing one helps.

No. But I was changing my clutch, flywheel, and drive shaft. So we had the car up pretty good.

If they are rather inexpensive it would be a good plan. Even up good it takes w a while to bleed, probably 15 minute or so. And depending on your set up it takes a while to get the car up...I had it up like 2 feet.
