(UMI) Subframe connectors
I have a 2002 ws6 and I just put on a set of UMI subframe connectors two weeks ago. These were a set of 3 point bolt-ons and I was really surprised on the simplicity of the instalation. My dad and I work on it and in abput 45 min they were on torqued and done. They really look great and I rhink they added alot of drivability to the car.
If they is anyone one the swinging edge of this I would really go with them (UMI) a very happy customer2002 Trans Am WS6 M6

I have the UMI weld in's. I have them only bolted in the back and they squeak a lot, i'm thinking about taking them back to the shop and getting the back welded also.
I notice that the car is a lot stiffer when doing burnouts, and it bangs 2nd too

UMI = My choice for suspension parts.
LMPerformance carries their stuff. I have talked to Ryan at UMI and he told me to push his stuff via LMP since UMI isn't a direct sponsor here.

i would have to agree 1billion%, on another note, umi's installation is very easy, all except the relocation brackets, but most of my frustration with those lies with bolt on printed right on the instructions and adds for them, when in fact they are far from bolt on and require cutting and bleeding your brakes to install them,.

I have the 3 point UMI SFC's. This is truly a must do suspension mod. I had to cut off one of the driver side beams because it wanted to share the same space with my Y-pipe. I also have the adjustable LCAs and PHB from UMI although they aren't installed yet. I will have them put on during my next allignment. UMI FTW!

Do these SFC's help out with 60 ft times? I have drag radials & can't get my 60 ft time below a consistent 2.0xx. How much would these help out????

No, SFC's won't help you in that aspect. Other parts may or may not depending on what the car is acting like now. Wheelhop or no? Track prep any good? Do you air down you DR's? Are they heat cycled to death?
Stiffening the chassis doesn't generally make a car launch harder. If it does it's due to massive twist that's messing with the suspension geometry. That's not happening in 2.0 60' car.
Suspension parts can certainly help, if you need them. But the first place to start it with the actual tire/track interface. You can't hook jack if you have bad tires and/or are on a crappy surface (or can't drive)....
I ran 2.0's on my stock GS-C's back in the day and I'm no drag racer....Last edited by Sam Strano; 07-09-2008 at 02:22 PM.
