Upgrading from stock to LS6 Valve Springs requires removing the existing valve springs and replacing them with the LS6 springs. The process is relatively straightforward and can be completed in a few steps.
1. Remove the cylinder head: Unbolt the valve cover, unscrew the spark plug tube seals, and remove the head.
2. Unscrew the valve spring retainer: Using a valve spring compressor tool, unscrew the valve spring retainer.
3. Replace the springs: Place the new LS6 springs on the valve seat and reinstall the retainer.
4. Reinstall the cylinder head: Replace the valve cover, spark plug tube seals, and reassemble the head.
5. Test the springs: Start the engine and test the springs to make sure they are functioning correctly.
Following these steps should enable you to upgrade from stock to LS6 valve springs.
