convertible top motor
my top comes up and opens fine but when its time to close it it does work or even make a noise when i hit the switch...does anyone one know what to do other than change the whole pump?

Its your top switch. If the motor works in either direction, the motor is OK. The switch reverses polarity of 12V to the motor, so it has to be your switch.
I saw a thread somewhere that showed how to wire a pair of relays to handle switching the high current to the motor and save your switch from the wear and tear. Its alot easier and cheaper to replace a relay than it is this hard to find switch.

JohnnyB is probably correct about the switch but just in case, have you checked your fluid level to ensure that you have enough fluid in the pump and lines. If unsure how, check the sticky on pump fill procedure.
