NBM / Silver- 00 SS / 71 SS Elcamino
first v-8 car was a 64 nova with a 355 and th-400 and a ford 9" with 4.11 gears. Ran 12.5 in Denver Colorado.
Then I went to a 67 ss chevelle with a 427 and 4 speed 12 bolt 373 posi. Beautiful car, (Marina blue, black interior, Yenko tuned motor) never had that at the track.(Divorce forced sale)
Then went through about 7 or 8 novas from 62-73.
I then bought a 68 dodge charger with a 440. (Never had it at the track but my god was that thing fast on the highway. 3.23 gears and an auto.
I then Boght a 71 chevelle malibu 350 nothing special but looked cool with the ss hood.
Then I bought a 71 ss el camino. Put a 70 402 big block in it and it dynos at 503 HP I still have this truck. Very nice silver with black ss stripes, cowl hood, console, th-400, 12 bolt 3.73 posi. Very fast and very torquey. Wish my new camaro was that easy to work on.
I then bought a 84 z-28 and drove the dog piss out of that for 6 months and sold it for 1,000 more than I bought it.
And finally I have my new 2000 SS camaro. Great car and love the feel of it. Thanks for reading!!!2000 SS Camaro Heads, Large cam, Fast 90, 9"w/430's and locker, yada yada yada... you get the picture

1st car was a 1972 Malibu. It was nothing special...350 / th-350. 2nd car was a 1974 Corvette. I drove that one around a little but it was never technically street legal. Its still sitting in the garage trying to get all of its emissions junk. And the Trans Am is my 3rd car.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
1st V8 car was a 63 Ford Fairlane 500: 260 V8 w/3-speed on the floor. My 1st engine rebuild in HS auto shop. Had it from 71-73. Turned it in on a used car lot for a 69 SS 396 Camaro. Had it for a little over a year before I blew up the engine racing. I wish I still had that car. Hell, I'd settle for the old Ford.

Got this right out of high school and still have it. Current setup is a 60 over 396, fully roller valvtrain, edelbrock performer rpm heads, dual 4bbl cars on an edelbrock intake, 700R4 overdrive trans with 2800 stall lockup converter, and 3.42 rear. I am about to change the rear gear to somewhere between 3.73 and 4.11. Also going to a bigger cam. If you look close into the pic from the rear you can see my T/A.

Thanks for the comment and for letting me know I messed up on the gear range. Fixed now. I am kind of leaning towards 3.90 but I am not sure. I want to be able to drive it at about 80 on the interstate without running too high of RPMs. I take it on a 400 mile round trip atleast once a year to a car show in TN.

Now here is a hot car. haha Thats my 72 Malibu. In case you can't see it, the primer that is on the car was actually painted on with a paint brush.
And, I averaged an incredible 7 mpg with the sb 350.

First v-8 muscle car was a 93 mustang gt. I wasted alot of money on GT40 heads and intake only to get waxed by LT1s. Finally got the hint and bought an SS. I've also had two GTOs. A 69 vert 4spd and a 66 4spd. Shoulda kept the 69. It was liberty blue which was a rare color.

Nice Car.......
I would tell you to lean towards the 3.73's and stay away from the 4.10's.....
Since you chose the 700R4 it has a 3.06 first gear ratio which is VERY low. That's why those 80's Camaro's pulled hard for a second then fell on there faces....It was only that steep gear.
I see from the pics you have some regular BFG's on it unless you love sitting in one place and blowing the tires off don't go that steep with the gears in the ass.
If you plane on putting a nice pair of Drag Radials on those 8" ralleys and putting a nice pair of soft springs in the rear to get that weight transfer it would be fun though. Sorry but I hate sitting and spinning anymore. It was cool when I was 16 but there is too many quick imports now that are all wheel drive and I'll be damned if I get spanked by a 4 cyl. cause I can't hook.Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!
