Not to toss gas on a fire... BUT, I had something VERY similar happen with my ex.. Came home from a week long seminar.. Found scratches oddly enough very similar in appearance to the ones on your car. (It was my 93 Cobra back then) My WIFE at the time said she HAD to use my car for two days..we will skip the details) Long story short, she was out clubbing with my car. .. Picked up some dude, got scrogged on the hood..Then his girlfriend came out and caught them, rest of the damage was from the catfight that ensued..
I got all this from the girlfriend of the guy that did my WIFE on the Hood of my car..
We can skip the nasty details..I ended up tagging his GF in his place a few times.. Her Idea for revenge and left a few used/filled condoms on his tv as a Thank you.
He got my ex, I got a couple of hits on his old lady, a 12 pack of his beer and an nice ring she was gonna give him..I think it worked out in my favor.
I was so pissed I sold the car and got a 944 Turbo.. Gives some food for thought.

Thanks for the "food for thought" Yeah, I really dont know what happened, because the only excuse I got was I was in an accident, driving behnid a dump truck full of gravel. It looks to me like someone go lucky on my hood Because gravel coming out of the back of a truck, at any speed, doesnt make scratches like that. It fuckin sucks when women lie to you!!! Honesty would have probably saved our relationship. But no turning back now....its over.....

Shit like this makes me sick! You are way over there and that last thing in the world you need is more worry. I think the smartest thing you could do is boot her. Gravel from a truck???? ummmm yeahhh ok. Hope you get home soon and hope your car looks better than new. Take care.

Doesn't look like gravel, at all. Gravel would have left dings/dents and chipped the paint off.

Honestly it looks like a dog/cat did the macarena on the hood. Yikes! At least it's getting painted. I'd be more upset that the person lied about the damage than the damage itself.

LMAO I had a couple of dents on my beater gran prix from banging my ex. Was the only place we could get away because her cunt of a roommate wanted to leave. Went to the parents place a month or so after. " what are all those dents and scratches..." "dunno, parked it on the street, and that happened"

hopefully you get it back better than new.

Wow, I just got word of this thread and had to see it. I totally agree with you with respect that, yeah it was getting repainted anyway, but you still would have liked to have known. I would have. That must have been some magic gravel or something. I don't know of gravel scratches going in a swirl pattern. Well, unless the truck was rear-ended, your car went up underneath the truck, and the swirl patterns happend when your car was pulled out from under the truck Just a thought.
Sorry to hear about you and Erin. You guys were so good to me. Hanging out and all. And it's a special bond you have with another person when you help put their engine in their car. Especially when you are upside down, under the dash hooking up the clutch pedal Nov. 1st is getting closer!!

I just don't understand what the hell went wrong. I mean has it been determinded that she cheated on you, just have an accident and not tell you, etc.? Either way it's shitty....

Just curious what kind of damage the roll cage had done to it?? Now thats strange that the roll cage needed re-powdercoated.

How the hell did the roll cage get messed up? Any pics of that?
Good times, man. Anytime. No thanks needed. It was fun and a learning experience. That lost socket ever turn up or is it still probably on the k-member? If I'm down there sometime again I'll drop by. Keep posting about the re-paint and how it looks!
