I think I was one of the only guys in high school listening to Slayer, then GH3 came out and now everyone is like oh my god they are awesome. I like Pantera alot too.

It pisses me off when i hear pantera on the radio now since they got NO AIRPLAY back when Dimebag was alive. Radio pricks...

I know. People praise that dude like no other, when he was alive they would say he was a mediocre metal guitarist. I wonder how his razorback dean guitar sales compare now to then.

i guess what people nowdays call Metal isnt what I remember .. bands like Saxon, Motorhead, Judas Priest , twisted Sister [first 2 cds] i would call Hard Rock ... but the benchmark to see if you are a Metal band or not is a song like War Pigs ...

n all those bands that came out in the late 80s that fell under 'Hair " anything sucked .. plain and simple .. only a few of your older good Rock bands survived that .. and then with all that Grunge , which I thought sounded a lot like new punk . killed of even more .. best band out of that was defiantly Soundgarden .....
