Check out their bassist, any other bassist is less than this guy.

AWESOME BAND!!! Great musicianship. Some of the best in death metal. Marco Pizutrella is the best death metal drummer out there, Dylan Ruskin is a beast on guitar and Jeff Hughell is a monster on the 7 string bass, also Steve Rathjen is a good vocalist. Apolocolyptic feasting is IMO the best metal album of 2008. Yes better than Meshuggah and Opeth. Too bad they broke up. The band is now just Dylan and Steve and they will never be what they once were without the best rythm section in death metal.

chimaira by far is the best new metal band. kerri king from slayer passed on the crown to them pretty much saying they are the new slayer. listen to them they will enlighten your spirit lol!!!

agreed... with the exception of Triviums lastest album the crusade. sounded very much like testament..

Also I have to throw Children of Bodom in that list for metal, yeah them becoming mainstream is new, but they haven been around for awhile and definitely not gay ass sceamo

I listen to Vulgar Display of Power and I just want to hit somebody.

PANTERA=BEST METAL BAND OF ALL TIMES.....

they proved metal could be slow and heavy, and fast with groove.

So what do you guys think about Five Finger Death Punch? And i'm not talking about the bleeding, that song seems like they just made it to get on the radio.

I keep hearing that they are back together, then i hear they arent, who knows, sometimes a metal band is just so heavy they implode and cannot continue.

I remember when Nailbomb was about to play their one and only ever live show Max Cavalera said they would break up after the show because they were "just too heavy ", and thats all that the public could take.LOL.

They are officially just a singer and guitarist and have been for a few months now. Their website says they are looking for a drummer, but says nothing about a bassist so maybe Jeff is coming back. I think without marco it won't be the same though.

i'm surprised no one has mentioned Mushrxxmhead, Once Nothing Subdub Machinegun-they are pretty rad! Like party metal almost...slightly up beat but still grungy as hell with deep-ass screams/growls and chuggyness.
