It was a body style & feature. Kinda a poor mans air conditioning. The rear window was angled at the top to the reat a few degrees. It had a small fixed panel on either side & the center section went up & down like the side windows on our f bodies. http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~stanchfi/monterey.html

Red Fire- 2007 Mustang GT/CS
1973 Plymouth Road Runner Power Bulge Hood, Twin Buckets w /Floor shifter and a 727 (manual valve body) auto - 340 six-pack out of a crashed '70 AAR Cuda ( I still wince when I think on that one) God I miss that car... fun as hell. Got it from my uncle, who had it set up East Coast style (well back then) Centerlines- skinnies up front and huge Pro-Trac 285/70/15's out back - Air Shocks in the rear and v6 springs in the front. Didn't handle for shit... Go like Hell in a straight line tho. Painted Plum Crazy with black Racing stripe (Factory scheme sorta looks a little like the old Starsky and Hutch style )

My first Car was a 1975 Nova SS 'snatchback'.
Big boots and decent straight line performance but it was a turd in the corners!

Hmm, I had a 71 Mach 1 from 1986-91 after 300,000 miles I sold it. Then I bought a 1964 Pontiac Catalina with the 389, car was a old mans car with plastic still on seat..engine was so clogged up with old oil and only had 40k original miles, so rebuilt the 389 motor and added a tri power cam and intake/carbs. Also added some 3.42 gears. Car was a bus, but still ran mid 14's on cheapo tires and the shifter was on the dash lol. Had alot more in it and sure 13's were possible, but I only took it to the track once. Then I lost my mind between 95 and 00 and had a Mustang GT, ran lol 15.2's.. lol then my brain kicked in again and in 02 the Z28 was calling out to me at the dealer and couldn't pass up the deal. Never regreted buying the Z28 at all. 40k on it now and never once had anything break under warranty. 300+ times down the 1/4 mile and still like new !! woo woo
