Most will go, but if built very very good, some can hold. I wen't mid 10's in my old '98 Z28 with a 4L60 built by Level 10. Solid tranny, sold it with the car still running and everything. My current 4L60 (700R4) in my '93 Camaro is on the brink of 10's and so far so good. I know it's probably going to take a s*** with the 250-shot though

Oh yes, it is most definitely possible to toast a 4L60 in one season. Heck, I heard of guy that wen't with a B&M-prepped 4L60 and didn't make it through one night in his supercharged '98 LS1. With tranny's as you probably know it depends on how perfect the tranny is put together. That tranny lasted me about eight months of duty before I sold the car. It saw the track about twice a month, but saw a LOT of street racing.

Well when I first posted this thread I was just about finished with my car but ran into a few things that have now been fixed and taken care of. Now its looking like I will be making my first couple of passes with this setup this up coming Friday the 9th. So I'll have my numbers for you guys that night, and if I get get my camera on and running which shouldn't be a problem I met just have a video of it on here. One question and probably a stupid one but should I make a new thread when I post my numbers or just put them in this thread?

I would do both. Put one in the drag racing section and post them here as well. This way all of us subscribed will see.

Well every1 heres the news. I went 2 a dyno jet to dyno and put down 396rwhp and 405rwtq NA and on the spray I put down 487rwhp and 618rwtq. My tuner said if I should go low 10's if I can hook it up. Well we Went to the TNT and my rearend held up, tranny held just find, and new driveshaft perfect. Something is not wright with my car though. Not sure if its the tune or what. I went 12.12 @ 112 with a 1.74 60' on MT et street radials at 19 psi. My old best on motor was 12.33 at 109. On the nitrous I went 11.69 @ 112 with a 1.9 60' spinning and costing last 200 feet till the finish line. Car started blowing smoke like crazy and could smell oil. We took it home on a trailer. Next day we go to start it up to move it in the garage. It started smoking really bad again went 15 feet and died on us, so we pushed it. We think its a piston or maybe a bearing but don't now know for sure and wont till we tear it down. Our plans now are to pull the motor find out whats wrong obviously and rebuild it to a forged 347. Was thinkin about doing a 402 but I'm not sure Id have the money. Now I'm not sure how long this will take us. My old best on spray is still my best 11.58 at 118 before my H/C, tranny etc. lol

Thats terrible man, was something wrong at the dyno because only 90hp gain on a 150 shot doesn't sound right.

I don't know what was up with the dyno. Possible that my bottle wasn't at the correct psi but I'm not sure.

Well I talked to a guy from TR where I bought my head and cam from and he said while I was making gobs of torque I should of made well over 500hp at the wheels with the spray. He also said I should be making about 425 to 430rwhp NA instead of 396. Said my cam could have been off on alignment when installed. I'm sending them the dyno sheets and will be in touch with them. I also think my timing could have been off and were probably going to switch back to the stock tb. I'm hearing the one I have is to big. Oh I just remembered my motor is being pulled this weekend and I'll keep you guys updated.
