    Nascar engines use how aggressive of a cam? Its far from slightly and they dont need huge notches like that. As GTP said....its direct injection. Willing to bet it has something to do with the injectors.

    A 224 cam is slightly aggressive and uses a stock lenght push rod...

    I know I should drop this but I can't stop being eaten by this. If the cam profile was aggressive enough to use a push rod length other than 7.4" it would be a shorter length push rod due to the cam lobes being on a larger base circle.
