Ok so you are in HS? You have a 5 year old car to drive?
Why in the fuck are you complaining about this?

I'm tired of it man, I could care less how old or new it is, if I don't like a vehicle, I don't like a vehicle. Thats like somebody sayin, alright, you should trade your Z28 in for a Nissan Sentra or a Kia Soul it's a brand new car. It doesn't matter how old or new the car is, if a person doesn't like it a person doesn't like it man. I don't like driving the suburban everyday, it's boring and lame. I'm allowed to purchase a new vehicle so why not? I don't care how new it is if I don't like it fuck it.

One question, what does one do with a full size work truck like a diesel full size in washington d.c? Do you need the torque to run over gangbangers?

Why does it have to be a little penor vehicle to be fun or cool
Just keeding. 10 (13 for the diesel) mpg, school bus handling and huge wheelbase sounds fun and all, but they're both too big to go down a decent trail and a lighter vehicle does better in the mud too...

Well, just like I said theres not a lot of traffic in the part of d.c. I live in (northwest). I mean the suburban does fine ridin around in the part of the city I live in, I could deal with something about the same size again just with more power and something that looks cooler. The added torque will help with fighting with merging on the beltway to. Lotta places and situations where I could use extra torque.

Get a economy car dude. I bought a cobalt, the mileage is awesome and cheap as hell to insure. Sure it's gay but who gives a shit. It gets a round decently with more torque than any other base eco car out there...something like 160lbs
at 4200rpms with the 2.2L

I know you won't like this advice anyway, but if you did-go with the five speed for sure with a Cobalt or other economy cars. Our automatic was anemic and depressing. 4 speeds aren't enough for that little torque. There wasn't many situations where it had a good ratio it seemed

I didn't read everything that was stated, but I have been looking at diesel trucks lately.. I would not recommend getting the 99-03(?) i believe.. please correct me if i'm wrong about the end of that style. but those year powerstrokes sound like shit, and have no power.. go test drive a few for yourself and you'l see what im saying.. I have drove 3 in the last 2 weeks, and all 3 took a minute to get goin 40, and sounded like they were gonna fall apart goin down the road.

the year the 6.0 came out clattered a lot less, the injectors were higher pressure. if im not mistaken the 6.0's all have the same power. the 7.3 is a more durable setup when maintained properly but doesnt make near the power the 6.0 and newer do. With no problems the 6.0 is a great motor. You gotta remember diesel trucks have a pretty big turbo and you have to wait till it spools and hits boost, then they haul ass.

Yea, but still I want a diesel, there just so badass, can you imagine merging onto the beltway (anybody from maryland d.c. or virginia on this site will know exactly what i'm talking about and it's a fucking nightmare highway) with all those aggresive drivers not letting you over and you can just fuckin punch it and leave everybody in soot behind you just like that guy did me in his cummins a couple months ago. Thats freakin epic and the most badass thing on the planet I'll give up a few mpg's for that.. I could care less if I can't off road as good as a ZR2 blazer or an FJ Cruiser. I have a diesel truck with 10x the torque and i'll be the one pulling your ass out in the end when your stuck.

When my truck was broke a couple times last year I still was as rich as two feat up a bull's ass rollin' in the little red four door homo mobile Cobalt automatic with the gay wing
I could do whatever I wanted as opposed to my friends on the bus or having mommy picking them up. Atleast it had the optional stereo with woofer... And i've drivin mom's Rogue most of this year, so much better than the bus. Actually it's way nicer than my truck, but no v8. Long story but, bus driver stole my wallet last year.

Well it looks like your set on a bigger truck, personally I would go with a 04-06 Chev. Duramax. Loads of torque and still gets 17 mpg in town.
If you decide to go with any diesel be aware of the high maintenance costs, diesel parts are quite a bit more expensive and require more maintenance to keep them running correctly.

I'l take anything you say as the truth, haha, I know that you know your shit when it comes to fords. I do know about turbo lag and what not, I'm just used to driving an 09 f250 superduty with the powerstroke..(mowing truck).. even with the tandem axle trailer, (2)1,000lb riding mowers, and about 1000lbs of extra shit usually on the trailer, the truck still pulls like a fuggin monster... buuutttt that's also a $55k truck, with twin turbo's haha
