What is the tube made of. if it's plastic like a PVC pipe material. Just heat it evenly with a heat gun and shape it to the angle and then cool it with water. I usually put a few ice cubes in a spray bottle when I cool mine pipes down.

I think the Volant looks kinda dumb, but that's just my opinion. I went with a SLP lid and K&N filter, I felt a difference, nothing huge but definitely a bit more peppy. I'm a money tight college student as well and would have a tough time forking out $250 for a CAI system vs. $90 for the lid.

I vote Volant, cant beat them really...by the time you buy the lid kit filter and ramair setup you have more into i than a volant in the the first place and still a bit more restrictive... worth the extra $$$ IMHO, but I am also the type who will wait on buying something vs. buying a cheaper alternative...

I actally went with the Volant sice I find the lid boring looking. i do like the clear lids though. The Volants actally fit up good aside from the pain of getting the MAF and Volant toghter. Seals against the hood nice and after I did some cutting you could feel the biggest gain on the highway when you jump on it.

If you're only taking HP into consideration, then Volant claims to have the highest gain.

I like beauty, and have seen some pretty trick Lid setups but i view the volant as a look of raw power kind of beauty, kinda fitting for a Trans Am...

Yes.

Get some 4" PVC Heat it to the shape then cool it. PVC fors and stays so you wont have to worry about loosing shape. Especially 4" takes a while to heat it with a gun just to get it to bend easy. last paint it to Black or whatever color goes with your motor.
