99 camaro ss oil pressure gauge flickering

99 camaro ss when my car is warm and idling the oil pressure gauge needle jumps around only at idle varying about 5 psi has anyone had this happen

Have you done a intake manifold swap lately? It could be the sending unit...a small leak would cause that.

No intake swap or any work in the past 4 years. I just got the car but I know the old owner all stock 125,000 miles. Is this something to worry about.

personally I would be a little concerned about that. Just keep a real close eye on it and make sure it holds steady pressure while driving and that it doesn't start fluctuating more and more over time.

mine has done that at idle occassionally since i bought it over 2 years ago. Never gotten worse; just annoyed me at first.

I've had my 'bird for about 3 months and I've noticed almost the same thing. When I'm at a stoplight, the oil pressure gauge needle goes haywire, back and forth. Once I'm on the gas, it goes back to normal. The car is still stock (until Fri), so I haven't messed with the engine at all... any ideas besides an oil change?
