maybe you guys seen this one already, but are you talking about these kind of parents?

Stuff like this makes me sick. I'm very happy my parents made me buy my first car. They loaned me half the money, but I paid them back and that's a good way to do it. Then you can get a half way decent car for your first car. Of course if you take care of it it's a good way. Just my opinion.

It happens here from time to time. No problem on my end. Oh, BTW, my avatar is my camper that I provided for my family so that on weekends we can go camping. Been doing it a lot this summer. Just another point of me being able to provide for my kids what I wasn't afforded as a youngin'.
And I'm just curious here, but why would you drive an 8 year old Lex if your making $100,000 a year?
And far as getting info on someone? I'm a little lost there. Then again your telling me you make more than me. How would you know this? My yearly salary isn't posted anywhere in the site.
Anyway, it's all good.

Sonny,LOL. I am 44 also.Your original post was just to short and maybe I took it the wrong way.Bought my first car for 200 bucks 70 monte carlo, first house at 21.Fast forward my new house will paid off in a couple years and my WS6 was paid for with cash.I gave my daughter are old 95 BMW 325i when she started driving and it did feel good actually to be able to do that but if she wrecked it from being stupid she would not get another one. Were good and I am sure your not stupid . LOL.

i say if u can provide for ur kids do so...but buy them something they wont kill themselves in...if u get them a car with power ..what will they think..."fuck it if i crash it ..theyll (my parents) just buy me another one" ...on the other hand..if u let them work there ass off like i did...they WILL be carefull with there car...i worked a minimum wage job..i gave up going out on weekends and wasting money.. i saved up as much money as i could and then put a downpayment on my car..Im 18 im still paying my car and i now have a job that pays a little better and now i can afford to pay insurance gas the car payments and other shit that i need...and i get to go out with my 02 camaro and be proud and i can say i bought this myself
...and those months of not going out are worth it..now before i street race i think ...and i just say hell with that i worked to hard just to fuck it up in a few seconds so i just tell them see u at the tracks

Completely agree. I bought my first car by getting a loan from my parents so I did not have to get a real loan and pay more. I paid it off then bought my new one myself. When you pay for it you have so much more pride in your ride. I come from a high school with very wealthy kids who had everything. When parents buy a car for their 16 year old and have no consequences for their actions it sets in motion an attitude that the kids will have for the rest of their lives just wanting everything given to them and never having to work for it.
Also let’s stop the Flame fest!

I have to disagree, I don't care if the parents are mulit-millionaires. If something ever happened to me where I had that much money, I would hope to God I wouldn't buy my kid a viper or a vette or even a '95 grand prix for example. I say this now but I guess I'm not in that situation so I can't say what I would or wouldn't do, but I still think you should earn it on your own. You learn something and you are appreciative of what you have.
It doesn't matter how fast the car is, I could of easily killed myself in the 4 banger cutlass ciera my parents let me drive to school. You could put it to the floor and you'd hardly notice. So to me, the whole "powerful car" issue doesn't really apply.
