Geez...I haven't worked out in a regular fashion since high school. I think I did 250 my Freshman year of high school. My dad was doing 300+ his Sophmore year, so I'm sure I could have done more if I wanted to.

Now a days, who knows. I have a lot more muscle than I did in high school, but I'm waaaay out of shape.

I was 5' 9 " and 130 when I graduated H.S. I maxed out at 125 and thought that was pretty good, I could almost bench my own weight.

That's exactly what I did back in the day. The creatine seemed like it did nothing until a few weeks in and that one day it felt like I had been on steroids. It's been many years since I've done weight training, I'd be happy to do 150 at this point. My younger brother can still bench in the 300's though and we used to train together. It sucks losing your workout partner.

I did the 2 on, 2 off and it worked out great. Your muscles get used to having the extra dose over time. By getting off of it, my belief is that you're working them much harder again and receiving the "real" benefit by building on the boost the creatine provided for a short period. (if that makes any sense).

Creatine is the shit, sometimes you dont notice how good it is till awhile or even if you were to stop using it. It gives you that burst of strength, helps with your recovery and makes your muscles fuller and bigger. I love creatine.

Oh, wait! I forgot this is the Internet...I actually weight 225, bench 600, make a $1,500,000 each month, and have a 15" johnson!

Yeah, it was good stuff. I haven't used it in maybe 7 or 8 years, but I remember the effects were just amazing. I gained ~10 in water retention weight, but that went away when I took a break for a period. I don't believe it's been studied enough yet to convince me that it's safe to use for extended periods. After all, we didn't really acknowledge the danger in tobacco for the longest time either.

They've been researchin it since 1992, with no known side effects or problems. Thats not super long but its good enough for me. Speaking for myself, I have nothing but good things to say about it. Put it this way, lets say creatine did have some slight effects on maybe your liver persay. It'd be with people taking way more then they are supposed to for longer then they are supposed to. I think its kinda arbitrary to assume that creatine is harmful when people routinely wind down after work with a 12 pk of beer or a bottle of wine etc. People abuse alc tons knowing that alc abuse is bad for your liver.

True, I'm just a bit paranoid with all these drug recalls that seem to happen so frequently. Keep in mind that athletic supplements are nowhere near as tested and as regulated as prescription drugs. I feel it's better to be safe than sorry so I'd rather use it in moderation rather than using it habitually.

I understand what you are saying completely. I understand your concern. Jus understand that creatine isn't a synthetic product either. Its refined but your body actually produces it and its in the meat we eat.

From what I recall, fish is a great natural source of creatine. The body produces it, but in fractions of the amount of which you're taking when you supplement it. Regardless, if I take up weights again anytime soon, I'll be back into creatine once I get going.

I used to workout w/ 225 on the bench, 5 times on my 3rd set. I think my max was 245. That was a long time ago, I would be lucky to bench 200 these days..

Thats still pretty strong though. If you can do your own bodyweight you are not doing bad at all.

I've always been naturally big. A LOT of the jocks liked to try and beat me in arm wrestling...and no one ever did. But, compared to the typical depiction of High School life on the silver screen, my High School was really chill. I was a skater, but I had a bunch of friends in the jock crowd, cheerleaders, nerds, mathletes, you name it. Everyone was, more or less, friends with everyone else.

So, no...no one really messed with me. Hehe.

I love creatine, completely changed my physique and helped me get over the edge to get that 6 pack.
