Do the oxygen simulators go outside the exhaust or in the exhaust? rw

they just clip on to the 02 harness and you can zip tie them to the car, not really attached to the exhaust

THanks I appreciate the help. Will I be able to use my HP tuner to assist with the "check engine" light or will the simulators take care of that. I am going to tune it after I put on the simulators. rw

If you have HPTuners, you don't need 02 sims. HPTuners can turn off the SES codes.

Your right, once i tuned it, everything is ok.
One more item, I took the headers back to the stock exhaust because I really like the sound (or the lack of it) Is there another type exhaust and muffler that may produce a little more power but with that stock sound? rw

Browse http://www.ls1sounds.com/ for the sound you like. There is even a baseline sound on there for comparison.

Thanks, there's some radical sh&*&t on that site. Hell, I'd wake up the neighborhood going to work. I need quiet, but fast.

Check out post #32 in this thread http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28815&page=2 . It's a Bassani true duals setup, which will make more power than a catback. It's not much louder than stock if you keep the cats.

I've already got the pacesetters and off road Y pipe on there. From the Y pipe back is what I'm looking for.
Now new problem. I have the HP tuner, but i don't see where you adjust anything to cut the SES light off. Also, I put the 02 sims on there, but earlier a guy said I didn't have to. The light came back on. Should I take the sims off and then retune?
Car sounds great and with the 3.73's I put on there It's got enough "ummpf" for an old man right now. Just don't want me son's EVO running off from me.

HPTuners has a forum http://www.hptuners.com/forum/ . You can use HPTuners VCM editor to delete the rear o2 codes. o2 sims are supposed to keep you from thowing a SES code, but often do not work or fail. Stopping the code through deleting them is permanent.
In HPTuners, you go under engine diag. and then the DTCs tab.
Deleting Rear Oxygen Sensor’s
Driver Side Codes:
P0137 - HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0138 - HO2S Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0140 - HO2S Circuit Insufficient Activity Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0141 - HO2S Heater Performance Bank 1 Sensor 2
Passenger Side Codes:
P0157 - HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 2
P0158 - HO2S Circuit High Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 2
P0160 - HO2S Circuit Insufficient Activity Bank 2 Sensor 2
P0161 - HO2S Heater Performance Bank 2 Sensor 2
Click on the 'Error Mode' column for each of these codes and change the value to '3' for each.
Uncheck the 'SES Enabled' box for each of the codes above too.
Save your changes, and reflash. No more SES light, and no need for sims. Sell them and get some money back...Last edited by jag42420; 04-25-2007 at 07:47 PM.

Black- 2000 WS6 6spd Hooker LT
^^^ only if you have no manifolds at all. Your stock manifolds flow 98% as well. Those are short tubes, you want long tubes. I actuallygained ground clearance with my LT Hookers and their ORY.
