Funny you say that cause when i had to travel to Puerto Rico, it was basically a "do what you can to save them so they wont get shut down" However when i got there, they were so damn lost and far behind So they lost the contract renewal and that site will close probably around Sept.
At our site we cant cheat them even if we tried/wanted to.Govt has 2 of there people on site all day everyday and before we can even work on anything (even if we need to change a screw) we have to go find one of them, have them look at it and get the "OK" before we can touch it. STUPID
Not to mention the doubles, and triples of the paperwok.

I used to work for Lockheed-Martin. We were a field operations on a Navy base and also had a govt. rep on site with us. The reason Lockheed had the contract is because of a previous company (Cubic Corporation) raked the govt. out of additional 3 million a year.
They got busted and to this day won't get another govt. contract.

[QUOTE=lakmflx;655233]When the companies get tired of competing against each other they either merge or buy each other out. That's how I became associated with Lockheed. When I first started it was Ford Aerospace. Then Loral electronics bought them out and took over. Then Lockheed merged with Loral. It'll give you a headache trying to keep up.
