All I know is a couple weeks ago my neighbor with an older porsche was behind me in the twisties when I was in the gt and I know he was trying to stay with me but once we got in the curves real good and I kept the shifting on point, he was no match! I felt completely comfortable too! My seats in the SS are more supportive for curves than the GTs though.
by the way you said you rode in a 02 gt, did you drive it? Maybe the driver was incompetant.
and if your z isn't doing a nicely on curves just find out what would make it equal to or better than an SS in handling.Last edited by 7camaro7; 02-05-2007 at 07:28 AM. Reason: more info

i really dont think stock for stock an ss could handle with an IRS snake... sorry...
in a straight line.. well yeah...
i have an 00 vette, buddy has a 96 z, and other buddy has a 99 snake... and though the z will walk him pretty easy 0-60 the snake will way out handle the z in a turn...

man you just went from a ss to a z racing. I really really really believe a SS has way better suspension than a z, I'm not 100% sure but I think it's a mix between v6 fbody suspension and ls1 power. Correct me if I'm wrong. They may have changed the sway bars on the z for the better.

hahahahaha, you should see what she had before the gt! She had a hyundai sonata, atleast she went muscle!
she went from a 3.0ltr to a 4.6 and I'm damn proud of her, its a 5spd and the whole 9. When she just up and bought the car she didn't even know how to drive it. I had a really good idea and I basically got used to it real fast all in one night and I taught her.
You guys already know I'm always cracking jokes on her mustang, but its funny to me because I'm not anti-mustang, I'm just pro-fbody.
I'd actually take a quite a few fords, I like the gt40, 0304 cobras, some of the 05 and up roushes, and some of the older stangs with the 351 cleveland in them. I'd like a lot more different chevies though.
new z06, ttop ws6 98 and up (black), 70 or 71 split chrome bumper Camaro z28amn I said chevies, I got a ws6 up there) You get my point, I'd also like a 98 or up z28 to go all out on, I'd love to have an old 396 chevelle(gotta have red on that one). I'll stop here, I could go on all day

yea a lot of people think us fbody guys are haters on all fords and mustangs in general, but that's just not true (at least in my case). we all talk a lot of crap but at the end of the day i think that most of us at least respect the ford guys. the same can't be said for the ricers though. i'd take an american muscle car over a rice cooker any day.

Ok this article is one the 01 cobra and we got its stats.
The 99 cobra owners, were their cars recalled? I mean did the owners get screwed or did they eventaully get their power back?
Were there 02 cobras?
I know there wasnt any MAINSTREAM 00 cobra, but no one ever mentions shit about 01 (and possibly 02 cobras), just the 03s.

your gf went from a 3.0 liter to a 4.6, I went from a 1990 VW Vanagon with 90 hp to my SS. I went from being the slowest guy in town to one of the fastest. but hey, the Vanagon has a fold down bed in the back.

same with GM and Ford as companies. GM and ford have stopped battling each other and are now fighting imports.
