Black- 97 Formula
Army brat here. My dad served 23 years total in the Army, 3 1/2 years in Vietnam. Decorated Green Beret and Sniper. He was a drill sergeant and taught the sniper school at Ft. Benning, GA. After retiring from the Army, he joined the Department of Defense as a police officer, and now is a security guard at a local Air Reserve Base here in Ohio.
My grandfather and his uncle both served in WWII in the Army.
My dad told me two funny stories while he was working at the air base. One day an arrest warrant was issued for a man [not sure for what]. The man then showed up to work at the air base. They arrested him on the spot and handed him over to the state police.
Second story was when former President Clinton visited the area after his first election. My dad went on patrol with two Secret Service agents on the parimeter of the airbase [the airbase shares it's runways with the regional airport]. Well they found a parked pick-up on the side of the road and went to investigate. Turns out a couple of guys where turkey hunting in a nearby field. The guys returned to the truck seeing my dad and the SS waiting for them. The one hunter had his shotgun over his shoulder acting like a tough guy. The SS asked them to kindly leave the area, and the other guy asked "Who the hell are you and why should I give a damn?" [Mind you, my dad is in his full police uniform next to a fully marked police car with two SS agents]. Well the one SS agent opened up his coat and exposed his Uzi/MAC-10 and said he was SS. My dad said they had the biggest "oh sh!t" face, and ran out of there apologizing.
