Got a serious problem!!!!

i have a 96 Firebird trans am 5.7L LT1, and i went today in another town about 1 hour away and bought a new magna flow high flow cat converter kit with the y pipe and everything, and got it home, and took the old one off because the cat was out and u cant just replace the cat u have to buy the whole kit for it. Well needless to say every thing that was on my car factory exhaust came off way to easy,

and something always goes wrong i knew it couldnt be that easy! Well me and my buddy got it all off and put the driver side cat on, cause it bolts to the manifold. then we went to take the o2 sensor off the old y pipe , and was froze on so we had to heat it up to get it off after 45 minutes of brute force!

Well we got it off and put it on the new y pipe, and was attempting to put the new y pipe on my car and almost got it all the way on , when i notice i didnt hook the driver side 02 sensor on the driver side cat, so when i went to do it , there wasnt even an o2 bung for it so we had to take everything back off and figure something out , so i got pissed and just quit and deal with it tomm!!!!

So what should i do send it back or just cut the old bung off and put it on the new one?

get an exhaust shop to weld on an O2 sensor bung. they should have them in stock.

Yepp like above, take it too a shop and let them just weld you in a new bung.

well screw the shops they wanna charge me 60 bucks to put a bung in, so me and my buddy went and go his welder and took the old bung off the old pipe and welded it on the new pipe!!!!

muffler shops are way overrated and way pricy!!!!

so now comes the fun part, putting it all back on. The only think we had problem with getting it on was the back of the y pipe is hard to get it the i pipe so i wish there was some kind of lube or something to make it easier!!!
and ideas??

Try using antisieze as a "lube".

ok we hassled with it forever trying to get the ypipe on to the i pipe, and still cant get it , so now i have to go get a pipe stretcher because the ipipe was clamped down to my factory ypipe and now the new ypipe is hard to get on!!!!
