whirring noise
Transmission shifts just fine, just the annoying sound when car is in gear. Im hoping it just needs a flush even though the fluid is still the right color and unburned. Please help.

can you isolate the noise?
Maybe the rear?
Were you doing any fun stuff?

Sound coming from transmission. Been making this noise for a little, but is a little worse after the track friday. Stock convertor going out? Are transmissions ever a little noisy for no reason?

Idling does it make the sound, or only in gear?

Its not very loud either... plus car drives great. No hard shifting, loss of power, or noise other than the whir. Has always made this sound. Really hoping its normal, especially because the fluid is fine.

Silver & Blue- 02 Camaro SS, 04 GTO
The front pump is usually the issue when hearing this noise especially under load. Go to a private trans shop with a good reputation because the "Chain Transmission Shops" almost always want to rebuild the unit. If the trans is good and shifting fine you should just do the front pump for now.
My ride is a 2002 Camaro SS SLP #3296 with 30k, LTH, 3" Y, CME, Frost tune, K&N, ported TB, Blackwing lid, Bellows, MSD, Denso Iridium, and 85mm MAF, Bilsteins, Eibach springs, SLP strut brace, Adj. Panhard, TA Girdle, UMI, Pro 5.0, Nitto NT555
My wife has a 2004 GTO with the rare SAP, 18" wheels, K&N Cold Air System, MSD, Ported TB, Frost tune, Denso Iridium, Flowmaster cat-back, 3200 Yank, 75k

Give Performabuilt a call... they'll fix your "whirring" issue and install a permanent grin on your face every time you smash the loud pedal.

Theyll know more after they open the thing up. If they tell me its just the pump im gonna have them replace that and upgrade the stall. This is an individually owned aamco, and my wife goes to church with the owner. Lol if that means anything.

Make sure you get the Beast sunshell and the upgraded version of the pump (more vanes). If you have a tune that ups your line pressure and install a modified valve body that does the same, you will want to adjust your tune back to around the stock pressure settings or it'll shift like crap.
