short block vs long block
Maybe this is a stupid question but i was browsing on a website where they sell engine blocks. So my question is now what is the difference betwen a long block and short block? The blocks locked like the same, just all the long blocks had heads on them.

Long blocks are complete motors. Short blocks are just bottom ends

Short blocks are everything that is inside the block - cam, pistons, crank, all of that has been installed. This is for those that may have their heads and intake from a previous motor or wanting to customized those options.
Long blocks have everything that is core to the motor installed except drive accessories, flex plate/flywheel, ignition system, exhaust manifold, intake and TB.

Oh okay thank you for clearing that up. I already was thinking about something like that, because the long blocks were more complete. Thanks.
