This is so completely random that this thread is bumped today... I was just about to track it down and find it to share the news.
As of 9:00am EST, the 04 SS Silverado that was sitting on our used car lot, was missing. Come to find out, it has been stolen.
Even though it's not mine anymore... I'm still SUPER PISSED!!!

Shhhhhhhh

Actually, my new truck is quicker than the SS, and can tow an absolute shit ton.
I haven't gotten any details yet, we do have a pretty sophisticated camera system, so I'm assuming we got something. And really, the only way to steal a newer vehicle is to have swapped keys while a salesman was being distracted, or had a key cut. But even having a key cut, it still takes 30-45 minutes programming that key, and I don't know any thieves who would stick around that long to steal something. I hope we catch them too... and they go to jail so Bubba can drag his sack across their face.

With the right tow rig you can have a car/truck gone in seconds with or without a key.
It's a shame people resort to stealing what they can't/won't get on their own..

Yes.- bunch of them
My Tow pig went 8.02@89 today after hauling the car, on a 12.0 AFR. It will go quite a bit faster when that ratio is corrected by N2O.

Really?
You're telling me that a modified vehicle can go faster than some other stock ones?!?!?! No waiiii!!!!!!!

I'm glad your highly modified truck can beat other vehicles, but this really shouldnt be too hard to understand. A new 6.2 truck, with all the same modifications as your truck, you get beat every single time. The 6.2 is a far superior engine to the 6 liter, to say nothing of the fact that you have a 6 speed trans behind it that is a ton better at keeping the engine in its powerband than the archaic 4 speed.

Got it on video, and we have a security company that monitors our lot 24/7. Friday night / Saturday morning, 1:50am.... Black male in jeans and a dark colored hoodie was seen wandering around the lot by himself. He walked onto the lot, so is accomplice dropped him off in a neighboring parking lot and he walked on. Security called police. Vehicle was seen leaving lot at 1:53 and police arrived at 1:57.
A couple faults.
1. 3 minutes from when the person was seen to when the vehicle was driving off the lot... something is up with that, that is wayyyy too quick...
2. The monitoring companies official report didn't even list seeing the vehicle drive off. That tells me, the person watching didn't stay watching and on further review, realized the vehicle had driven off. That's just dumb... they couldn't even tell police that the vehicle left and is traveling south (the direction to Detroit)
Kudos to the police arriving as quickly and as organized as they did. I'm not sure what time they were called, but they arrived with 3 squad cars, 2 pulled in the lot, and one stationed on the street to keep an eye out. It's too bad that the security company missed the window of opportunity to nab this ass clown. I kinda want to station myself on the lot with my AR, and my USP and just wait for some fuckwad to try this shit again.
