Its scary though. I put it in first in the drive way and it moves without gas. I'll try it after work tomorrow though.
If not, going to pull the intake and try again.

That's because the idle isn't stable. It is still too high. Like when I had to replace the IAC in my previous car. I would let off the clutch in 1st and the car would roll forward without throttle and when I would shift, the revs would increase. Then, after driving for a few miles at 40 MPH, the idle stabilized and would drop between shifts.

My dad thinks its vacuum leak, brake booster and/or intake. He is old school and knows nothing about sensors. But we see going to re pull the intake.

^^ this, use some carb cleaner. If there is a leak that will find it.

Spent the afternoon/evening helpng the father-in-law rebuild part of the combine, getting a bunch of venison jerky curing overnight in prep to be dehydrated, playing with the kids, and some other odds and ends. Relaxing now, watching some football and enjoying a cold Yuengling.
I agree with Jon & Rich, Jodi. Try a bit of starter fluid aroud the intake and see if the idle raises. Move on from there.
Chris, sorry to hear. Same thing kept happening to me. And you already now the only real cure

My bad, thought you had said it was a '68. Hmmm......send me some pics whenever you get a chance, and I'll think it over. And I'd only want the '69.......I don't need to compete with Jeff

You gotta pick up a few more projects and a few buicks (with complete, spare cars to boot) to keep up with him.

Actually, I think that she-male has dibs on Dan's package.
And I don't have the room for that many vehicles.

Zapper, cant say as I blame him.
I would give a deal to someone who would buy both cars and parts.
