I never knew that working a car show was such a kick in the balls....
1000 questions, here are the top few
why can't I park in there? (It was a muscle car show, not a tuner show, plus the nice old lady that didn't want to walk far from her land yacht to see the cars, she wanted to cruise around the cars
)
why can't I touch the cars? (mostly kids, but a few adults too)
Can I test drive it? (some girl in her teens, thought she was being funny & cute. My son got an awesome response before I did - He said "sure when your name is on the title" I love my boy some days
)
why do I have to pay to show my car? (signs everywhere at the entrance and she can't read.....she was a blonde....)
why do I have to go slow? (300 cars and this douche bag wanted to race in the parking lot)

I use to "produce" car shows. I loved it....minus the stupid people. Maybe I should join a club of some sort and get involved again. I miss it.
Change off subject ......
T Minus 30 minutes and counting til fire up.....
Unless I go get more beer, add thirty to that.

Started it up. Its stuck at 3 grand. Can't find any vacuum leaks. I don't know what to do.

Did you try revving the engine slightly to see if the idle would drop? Also, have you tried adjusting the idle screw on the throttlebody? Originally Posted by jrbonds

Never worked a car show, but been to a few and I know how you feel. There was one night when a woman with a 66 Malibu was hot-doggin it around the lot after a show and some of us gave her nasty stares and she looked at us like we were the ones with the problem. One guy said out loud if she hit ANY of our cars, she would have hell to pay. She heard him, loaded up her baby in the Malibu and her friends followed her out of the parking lot. Will go try the screw. Nothing was messed with though. Removed and reinstalled. Lost.
