2001 3.8 Black - sold- 2000 SS Black M6
I've had a few opportunities in the SS, but always run out of road, I need to downshift further. It's always interstate pulls from 80 or so, never from a dig.
Hit 120 the other day though, barely shut it down in time to not run into the cars ahead of meLS6 intake, Pacesetters, TSP rumbler !EGR, !AIR, 295/35 BFG KDW II's, UMI Adj LCAs. Tick Master Cylinder, LS7 Clutch and flywheel, Pro 5.0, Lous short stick, Frost Tune.

The other day reached a pretty good speed of close to 150 with the stock 2.73s. I am sure the speedo is off at that speed however as most cars are and bikes CERTAINLY are without a speedo healer (as much as 15%). Headers, high flow cats, cat back, SLP intake, K&N filter, smooth bellow, 10mm wires. Not a good tune though.

Arctic White- 2002 Camaro B4C
Had my car for a couple of weeks, i hit maybe 110
but on a side note a couple years back my dad did a top speed run in his 97 Z28 M6 with only a K&N filter (not intake) buried the speedo at 155 and was still accelerating! i wonder what the real top speed of these cars are

GM LeMans/Luxo Blue- 2001 Firebird Formula
In my current 2001 Formula I hit 125 before running into traffic. It had plenty of power to spare. Im my 1998 Trans Am I hit 110 but it was a convertible and I panicked at the vision of flipping it and getting ejected so I backed off. I had a non-LS1 1979 Trans Am 6.6 403 ci that was bored to 410ci with a bunch of performance parts. The car had 2.41 gears with 245 or 255/70r16 BF Goodrich Radial T/A white letter tires on Cragar S/S rims. They looked great! It was about 5:30 am on a Sunday morning on the long stretch on the Massachusetts turnpike coming down the mountain toward Westfield I hit 145 mph and was turning about 3900-4000 rpms. The front end starting lifing and scared the shit out of me! I pssed 3 state troopers parked in the median and they didn't even bother to pull out. The car was making about 450hp so I know I could have gone much faster.

Silver & Blue- 02 Camaro SS, 04 GTO
I have an 02 SS with bolt-on's and 3.42's and I backed off at 135 on route 80. I was still in 5th gear with room to go on the tach but not on the road since this in NJ and we have more people then dog crap. I know that gth gear is worthless unless you have the HP to use it.
By the way, if the police are reading this post. This story never happened.

2001 3.8 Black - sold- 2000 SS Black M6
I have a problem going fast in my car, I think its a lack of torque
I can never do any high runs from a dig, the only place I have to go fast is a nice stretch of interstate 2 lanes, 2.5 miles, concrete walls on both sides, no shoulder. i always pull from 80 or 90, but I think I need to pull from a gear lower.
In other words, i think im ih too high of a gear for a good top speed run. I shift into 6th at about 110 or 115, and I think maybe that maybe has my RPMs too low to produce the power needed to fight the wind resistance....i can only get to about 120
