Very nice write up. Did you tried cutting the clamp around the return line fitting? The tubing is flared at the end. Or it is too long and gets on the way? I guess from the pump return to the cooler is just straight rubber hose?

where i cut the line made for a more straight shot to the cooler than the upward bend in the line if i was to just cut it at the compression fitting......and i also bypassed that flow robbing crimp in the line

Nice write up. I purchased a smaller two pass tube and fin cooler for our car and plan on doing this sometime soon.

i got the cooler and the extra hose from summit.....and the shipping was damm fast.....got it in 2 days

i know ya wanna keep as many GM parts on your car as possible..........but GATES makes good hoses and belts......i put all new on when i did my WP

now im kinda thinking about installing it in that location. we have alot of ditches here in Orlando and I always hear the front bumper scraping or the air dam scrapping. I'll see what i can come up with.

ok im done installing mine.


i got get some of those fins straight but i was able to put it in front of the airdam and higher. No leaks so far.

and if i remember correctly......you have the dreaded water cooled PS cooler
I went with the smallest one they had.
