He's another suggestion.... run C16 race fuel!! Should bump up your hp quite a bit. he wouldn't know, doesn't even have to be C16 i'd just do a quick search and see whatever octane is around 101 or 103. u'd be good.

ALso, some people claim the G8 GXPs run 13.2s stock. That is with a pro driver on a good day im sure. You also have an auto so get a good launch, i'd say at around 2,000rpm only and power to weight difference you should have him no problem!

And whats taking so long tell this guy to quit hidin in the bushes and come out and play. Lock it up or store it where it belongs.....

Really? Because everything I've ever read says that your car has to be tuned to run that high of grade to even see the effects and without a tune, it actually doesn't do anything.

he could be using this time to mod his car with somthing small like an intake or somthing. u never know. and I dont know for sure but every car i've seen with race fuel put in it ran better than it did with pump gas. Maybe our cars have to be tuned to run race gas i don't know, but i dont see why they would. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't all LS1 computers somewhat self-learning?? The difference in how fast the fuel burns could suggest u need to dump slightly more fuel, maybe not. Hope someone who tested it out on a LS series car could chime in.

I think 13.2 is pretty common. local htown guy was doing 12.98 stock with m6, but he had some practice.

you can only get as much timing as your tables will let you have and most max out anywhere from 24-28 degrees depending on what year it is. That's all you can get so running the higher octane really won't do much for you unless you tune for it or if you're having issues with detonation. 91-93 octane should work for the vast majority of cars out there.

Thank you for clarifying on this. I thought I remembered correctly, but wasn't 100% positive.

Simply put - this is a BAD suggestion.

OP, do not take this advice. It will not help you.

Run out and get a 3,600 stall while you're waiting. Wouldn't even be close then.

So run him. Its not worth worrying about. I you win, cool. If not, you add mods and come back. Some times you want to lose. Then come back and let them push you to run for some pocket change. I like to take white shoe polish and write 13.2 on the back window then partially wipe it off. Some figure they can roll over me and take the bait. Some give a look like "yea right!". Either way your doin what you like.
