gxp callin me out...

so i drove the bird to work today, and this guy with a gxp saw it and started askin everyone who's it was....finally he found out it was me and immediately said we NEED to race...now just from talkin to the guy, he has no knowledge about his own car except that its fast....my only mods are poly mounts, Lt's and ory....no tune, no lid, ....even with a bad driver, does he still stand a chance of winning?

I believe the g8 gxp is listed at 13.2, with that in mind I believe with ur mods u should take him but its gonna be close depending on both partys driving skills and traction.

i dont know what my car does as it stands, but it hooks decently on the street and ive been to the track in previous ls1's....im confident in my driving skills....im goin to the track friday, maybe i can get him out there and see what happens.

I assume a g8 gxp we are talking about? There is like 4 gxp models

Yes it is a g8 gxp....either 2009 or 2010..im not sure

Spend the extra hundred for a lid b4 the track it makes a difference. My car ran 13.2 with terrible traction and no longtubes so you should have him if he's stock. And if u lose,I'm sure that will only make u wanna mod ur car.....defeat leaves a very bitter taste in your mouth.

wont be able to get a tune before friday....but at least ill have some kind of baseline even though i already have headers...if he beats me, then it wont be long lived....i can promise that...the ol lady wont stand for it...

Bad driver statement means you're a M6? It might come down to your shifting if so...

He will probably get you out of the gate.

Yes, if g8 gxp it Was only out for 2009.

My friend ran 12.9x stock, but has been practicing. This guys sounds like a bonehead. Do you know if he has an a6 or m6? Driver error may screw him if a m6, either way the have some traction issues from a dig unless he's practiced.

He has the advantage.

headers with no tune is gonna hurt you....I don't think the question is "does he have a chance" as much as it is "do you have a chance?"

ah...... i forgot about the g6. didnt know they had a bonneville gxp, only the gtp.

also you forgot the torrent gxp, same as equinox sport. had the 3.6 di engine with 6t40

I thought all the G8 GXPs were manuals? I might be wrong about the transmissions,but being that the T/A is probably lighter than the G8 that might also help
