I have a China built 150cc scooter. It calls for dino oil because synthetic is suppose to make the seals leak

That sounds like bullshit to me, what do you think?

Thats exactly what I thought. This motor has 60 miles on it. I'm using Dino til its broken in = 300 miles or so
And then planned to switch to Sythentic like Amsoil, PP or Mobil EP. I didn't want to argue with the dumb bastards that said Sythentic would wreck the China seals. It has no oil filter and is suppose to get changed every 1000 miles. Since it only takes .85 of a quart of oil to fill, I'll probably change it every 500 miles with Sythentic

Remember all the nay sayers screaming about T56 trannies and synthetics? Oh it will eat the paper seal....I heard that crap for a long time....finally T56 folks started posting they had synthetics in for a kazillion miles and no leaks or problems. I have heard synthetics are also "slipperier" than conventionals......somebody sure needs to walk me through that one.

I run Amsoil Sythentic in my T56 with no issues

I thought they meant the cleaning agents would wreck them and I told them that most Conventional oils have just as many add packs in them for cleaning but this thing only has 60 miles and the oil is mint. No way the seals are done. Dumbass people

Any news on Pennzoil synthetic ultra? Tried that for the first time and my valve train is noisier. Don't know whether it is directly related or not.

I have not reached any comfortable conclusions on Ultra.
But yes...there are differences between Ultra and Platinum.

You will like this Sarge

I'm on a scooter forum and talking about my last (First) oil change on this thing. This guy is bitching at me about using sythentic for break in. I told him it has 60 miles and I started and fully warmed this thing (Varying the throttle and no WOT then letting it cool about 15 times) He says this thing hasn't seated the rings yet
I tried telling him that with this cheap metal and how many hours it has on it NOT MILES that they will be fine with sythentic. I tried telling him Vipers/Vettes/Exotics come stock with sythentic and they still seat and he told me to fuck off. Said his 50 years of small engines knows better
Some people are just too dumb for their own good

Well, ready to do my 202,5++ oil change

Was looking at forums (look a lot, don't post much) and saw that it is recommended to use a truck oil filter, like PF61. Went to wally world and got my big jug of PP, and was looking for a PF61. All they had was a PF61E, and
not being won to try things I ain't sure on, I put off buying it. Did some googlen and found this:

Looks good to me!

As long as you change your oil and oil filter every 3-5 k with factory recommend weights you are ok.my 02 ws6 has 214xxx miles and 99% of the time it had conventional 5w30 and nothing more exotic than a delco filter.changing your oil regularly is the most important thing..
