Texas speed has some ported heads for a decent price or you can get some patriot ported ls6 heads for a good deal usually just Google their website and find a retailer. My friend has ported ls1 heads and they work great on his vette. Depends if you have a good local shop usually if you have to ship them out somewhere it's not much more to just get a set of ported ls6 heads new.

Check out Livernois Motorsports Stg II LS6 heads . They are cnc and are put together very nicely with valve springs that set to go to .690 lift . Check them out .

I agree with LSXZ28, and he has the experience to back up his opinion and has first hand knowledge of results. I do not, but I will still throw out my opinion.
I have not seen results that justify the high dollar heads on a 346 build, and yes, I bet there may be some better gains with a set of TFS or AFR heads, but in my opinion not enough to justify the extra cost. The other side of this is that some people want everything that they can get out of their car and they have the money to buy the parts. I would do a lot of reading and searching on the forums and look at all of the results and see what fits your budget.

I have never had my car on a dyno, but with the butt dyno I could feel the gains from my home port/polish and mill.
It took a long time to do, and some Motrin for my sore hands and a friend with a mill I was happy with my worked 241s.

SOM- 1998 T.A.
On my old 346 setup I gained 19/19 when I went from PRC 5.3's to TFS 220cc "as cast" heads. They also have better PTV because of the 13.5* valve angle so you can stuff a bigger cam under them. Well worth $1600 IMO. I am sure they are worth even more on my 403.
Other sheet is what they flowed after a "touch up"...... Very close to the 215 CNC heads LOLLast edited by SOMbitch; 10-17-2010 at 10:35 AM.
