Where do you keep your pistol?

I'm trying to find a good place to keep my glock in my car. I don't like the idea of keeping it in a non lockable center console. I was wondering where you guys keep yours. In my acura I had a sleeve mounted out of sight under my seat. I'll prolly look into that. Unless you guys have any better suggestions.

I agree that center console is bad!

Are you a big guy? if not mount a holster under the steering column area.

Under the seat is also a good idea.

I'm thinking a false bottom in the console, idk. I have to play around with it a little. I just got the car so i'm not sure what I can do to make it happen.
Good thing in Louisiana your car is an extension of your home and I can hid a gun anywhere as long as if/when I get pulled over I make it known i'm packing heat.

PA is the same way as long as you have a permit to conceal.

The false bottom on the center console is ok but its not that deep and with a pistol in there it will leave little or no room.

I'm really glad yall are taking this more serious than other forums. One board replied to this question with "Same place you hide the dope"

Go they make locking console boxes like they make for Jeeps and Chevys?

Seems like you could mount a holster there or under the seat.

Between passenger seat and console, that way it's not crowding you and you don't have to lean over to draw. This is of course assuming you are traveling alone. Wherever is more comfortable for you, you want to be able to draw immediately with the least amount of obsticles as possible.

    I use a shoulder bag/briefcase that has a built-in holster.

It lets me keep the pistol nearby when I'm mobile and when I'm in the truck.

It depends on the individual state. That will make a huge difference on how to "legally" carry it.

I would like to interject the following caveat though; Don't EVER store your sidearm near your registration (most often the glove box). I say that because if you are ever stopped and asked to produce a registration card, you do not want to be reaching in the same general area as a weapon when you do that. Just a bad situation overall.
