what is this display screen for??

I picked up this guage cluster for my car. Wondering what the square display screen on the top right of the speedo is for? My cluster doesn't have it?

Hmmm...interesting. That is where my Service Engine Soon indicator is but its not a display screen like that.

Here's an Australia right hand drive export cluster. Looking at the area in question, you'll notice it has a picture of and engine instead of the words "Service Engine Soon"
