If he has no prior traffic violations, and there wasn't alcohol involved, I don't believe he could lose the license til 21. I think losing for 1 year is very realistic. But I only have a cursory knowledge of these newer teen license laws. I agree with others who advise hiring a lawyer. You want the lesson/punishment to be just, but not get the book thrown at him...

Man...makes me remember my last accident with my Beretta GTZ. Although the accident wasn't my fault, I teared up while removing the plates and said "I'm sorry". I put the plates in the trunk of my GTO, got in, looked over one last time and drove home. This is also the reason I put a Dale Earnhardt "3" on my rear window. I had the same "3" on my Beretta in the same exact spot. So now, I feel I still have my GTZ, but with 4 more cylinders, one more forward gear and it's rear wheel drive.

so i pull out of the holding yard and turn the wrong way and behold there is a black and gold firehawk at some muscle car shop getting painted.i stopped and talked to the owner and he said the guy who owns it has a few f-bodys.i didnt ask if it was for sale but shoulda.

yikes, you get a better feel for how that single little door bar saved him from much more drastic injuries...
You can see clearly where the hard brick edge of that mailbox structure would've impacted him, and hard, if not for that brace. Scary...
