I know in the future I will remember this. It is a great tip and idea to save money.

I just had one in the shop for this. It had a new alt. the had new battery and all.

the wire going to the alt. was broken in the jacket. it the small wire in the plug.

yeah had this happen to me too so got the alternator replaced and it worked fine except that the voltage meter still fluctuates whenever i put my turn signal or tap on the brakes or anything like that. ill probly check out that wire too.
