I go tomorrow to Lone Star Performance here in Dallas, TX. $75 for 3 pulls that show HP/TQ, and Air/Fuel ratio. God, can tomorrow get here any faster people!?

I should dyno a little higher next time with the lighter/smaller converter, and had a custom rwtd Predator tune done. Didn't like the sound without cats so #'s would have been about 5 hp higher with ory.Last edited by rotwiler; 03-24-2006 at 12:28 PM.

My Dyno #'s
Ok, so here are my dyno results: Killer_Bluebird you were right, and I'm still flabbergasted!!!
This tells me the LS1 came from the factory really solid in terms of tuning.
1st Run: With HPP III:
HP: 327.2 TQ: 328.4
2nd Run: W/O HPP III:
HP: 325.6 TQ: 330.3
I chose not to do the third run because both times my car was running lean! The car was even more lean with the HPP III. Not good unless you want to burn a hole in a piston or blow a head gasket. I'd rather lose the 2HP and gain the torque (2 ft/lb). Overall I am very pleased with the results and damn does the Loudmouth sound great, but still not loud enough!!!

My 02's factory tuning was terrible.. I dyno'd 284 SAE rwhp I think(within a h.p or 2) and after just the Predator tuners out of the box tune my #'s went to 307.1 SAE rwhp, can't remember the TQ #'s, but was a good gain.

Black- 2002 Z28
2002 Z28 A4 with 29,800 miles. Mods are lid and magnaflow muffler. I made 4 Dyno pulls Trying To Prove the worth of the hand held Tuners.
First pull with Hypertech Power Program made 303.04 Max Power with Max Torque 331.50. Run Conditions: 71.42 degrees, 30.14 in-Hg, Humidity 31%.
Second pull Using Stock Program made 311.04 Max Power with Max Torque 326.95, Temperature at 74.31 degrees
Third pull was with new Predator, version 2.11, made 311.30 Max Power with Max Torque 326.53, Temperature at 75.15 degrees
Fourth pull was made with the Predator, Lid opened up, made 312.59 Max Power with Max Torque 327.57, Temperature at 78.57 degrees.
In summary: the Hypertech run had a Torque Spike that resulted in the higher reading. The torque fell off starting at about 4200rpm. Also Air/Fuel ratio was 12.17 fairly flat across the run. Most Importantly, the Predator and Stock Programs were identical with an Air/Fuel ratio of 12.55. The Dyno Chart shows one line from 3500 rpm all the way to 6000rpm. I suspect the Predator could be leaned for another 10-12 horsepower.

Mods are Stage 2 ported heads w/triple valve springs, 234/236 114 LSA, SLP longtubes, Mass air, and 4:10 gears. And a tune by the Vette Doctors. The car is also a 6-speed. The car also had the stock clutch. I figured the clutch was slipping on the dyno.
